Haile Selassie I is the God of the Rastafari movement. He is seen as the reincarnation of Jesus, returned as a great king. Rastas worship him smoking the sacred marijuana.[1] He was crowned Emperor of Ethiopia on November 2, 1930[2] and reigned until overthrown by a Marxist revolution in 1974. He died the following year. His rule was interrupted by the 1935-1940 Italian occupation of Ethiopia.
