Doom (ESRB ratings: M) is a first-person shooting violent video game series, it was created by id software and is one of the most well known of its genre due to its innovative graphics. It features vast amounts violence, blood, demonic imagery and gore. It has also been accused of causing the events at Columbine High School. One of the shooters practiced for the event by creating Doom levels resembling the halls of the school with monsters to represent classmates and teachers.
There are three games in the series as well as a series of expansion packs.
