Senator McCarthy was a communist in a few ways. He was not pro-American because he tried to censor the minds of people that were in America by taking down anyone with no proof, whatsoever. Ferthermore, he was not under attack because nobody would ever dare to attack Senator McCarthy for fear of being brought down themselves. He used fear and broke what is stated in the constitution (there was no proof needed to convict a person of being a communist, which you could be sent to jail for, and also lose what was basically your life) because of what he said. How is that pro-American? --[[User:Rocky|Rocky]]
