Country and Western originated in the South and remains most popular there today. It is a mix of blues and folk music. Some of the most famous country musicians include Hank Williams, Bonnie Langford and Jimmy Rogers. Modern country artists today include Brad Paysly and Kris Kristofferson. Many rock and roll musicians overlap into country and western too. Country and western music is generally enjoyed by most conservatives as it often includes patriotic sentiments. However certain artist, like the Dixie Chicks, ocassionally lose thier way and say foolish things. When this happens Christians and Conservatives stop buying their records and coutry radio stations don't play them anymore.
