The PATRIOT Act has succeeded it's main goal, to completely dismantle this nations sense of freedom. The Act has esentially given the United States government an almost Nazi-like grip which still holds fast to our right to privacy and free speech. The PATRIOT Act has done nothing to protect you because the government could care less about your safety.
