Selassie was a crucial figure in Ethiopian politics and I would argue that most Americans who know their history would know Selassie from his speech to the League of Nations in 1935 condemning Italy's invasion of Ethiopia. | ||

I disagree - to most Ethiopians, Rastafari is irrelevant.

Again - i disagree - who are you to say what most americans know or believe about a particular figure?
