E.V.O.: Search for Eden is a side-scrolling video game that promotes Darwinism to young children. It was developed by Almanic and published by Enix in 1992 for the Super Nintendo.

The story recounts the evolution of life in the planet Earth in which the living beings are in a competition to survive and evolve, as only the greatest species will be allowed entrance to the "Garden of Eden" as Gaia's partner, the planet's Goddess, and dominate the earth.

The main character is an animal who starts as a fish and eventually evolves into an amphibian, then to a dinosaur and then the player may choose to evolve to a bird or to a mammal (and possibly a human). The player may also choose to evolve parts of his body such as his neck or jaw, body size, etc. primarily by killing other animals (in the game's context, this includes humans and other hominids) and then eating their flesh which earns him "Evolution points" that are used to evolve.
