The brain is the part of the central nervous system found at the top of the spinal cord, and is divided into three separate areas, the forebrain, the midbrain, and the hindbrain. The brain is involved in higher functioning such as decision-making, speech, and all of the senses. Investigation using new techniques such as fMRI is being carried out into the relationship between the brain and human behavior.
