Leslie Groves was a brigadier general who started and managed the [[Manhattan Project]] during [[World War II]].

Groves hired [[J. Robert Oppenheimer]] as a manager under Groves' supervision.  Later, Groves testified for Oppenheimer in opposition to revocation of his security clearance by Congress.  Congress revoked Oppenheimer's security clearance anyway.
