::::Seriously?  I thought supersessionism was a Catholic doctrine!  Paul was the one that pioneered it!  Or am I confusing him with that guy who was later excommunicated.  You know the one.  An original church father...errr... Origen?  Or was it Tertullian?-AmesG 01:01, 22 March 2007 (EDT)

:::::You are looking for Galations 5:6 and Galatians 6:12-13 which refers to circumcision (and by extension, the rest of the jewish law) to not be part of salvation.  Acts 15:24 again mentions circumcision and clearly shows the break from the old testiment law.  Again, Colossians 3:9-11 .  A website on Galations talks about what the Galation controversy was and Paul's reaction to it.

*The circumcision controversy has nothing to do with it. It's the decision of the Council of Jerusalem (under the presidency of James, brother of our Lord), which Paul attended (not eating blood or the flesh of animals sacrificed to pagan gods, etc., documented in Acts), which is operative. The Covenant with Abraham is still in force! God does not break his Word! We need the article Supersessionism.  --Lohengrin 01:28, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
