George Clooney (b. May 6, 1961) is an American actor. His role on the television series E.R. brought him to public attention. He has since had an extensive acting career, acting in such movies as Batman & Robin, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and Ocean's Eleven. He has appeared in over 60 movies and TV shows.
Clooney has liberal political leanings and is an outspoken critic of the Iraq war. He supported Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential Election.
Clooney's outspoken views have led him to make statements that show questionable character, such as joking about Charlton Heston's Alzheimer's disease. Worse, was that he actually defended his actions afterwards stating that Heston deserved it.[1] Heston replied that George should be careful, as he had as much chance of contracting the disease as anyone else.[2]
