Fianna Fail (Irish: 'Soldiers of Destiny'; pronounced Feener Foil) is the main Conservative political party in the Republic of Ireland. The party was founded in 1926 by Eamon de Valera; and each of the seven party leaders in its history have held the office of Taioseach (Prime Minister). The current Taioseach, Brian Cowen, is the leader of FF.
