Federal funding

Federal funding is funding provided to an entity by the Federal Government. Entities which accept federal funding often have a conflict of interest when it comes to issues dealing with the government, because they don't want to lose their funding. Insidious forms of federal funding include:

• Public schools
• State governments
• The National Endowment for the Arts
• Tax-exempt religious institutions — since that is equivalent to receiving the same amount in federal funding
• Tax credits to private citizens
