Charles "Chuck' Colson (1931-) was Special Counsel to President Richard Nixon during his administration. In March, 1974, Colson pleaded no contest to a charge of obstruction of justice for his part in the Watergate scandal. He was released after serving seven months in federal prison. During his time in prison, Colson found Christ and has gone on to found a prison ministry: Prison Fellowship, Inc. He has also published over a dozen books.
The message of his evangelicalism sometimes deal with patriotism and politics. Quotes from his sermons include "The Kingdom of God will not arrive on Air Force One," "Seek justice, not power," "the problems of our society are moral and spiritual in nature—institutions and politicians are limited in what they can do."[1]
