George Norris was a Democratic Senator from Nebraska. He is best known for being featured in John Kennedy's Profiles in Courage. He bravely spoke out against Joseph Cannon's power as Speaker of the House, and was a proponent of the New Deal. He was eventually done in by corruption and scandal, resigning in disgrace.
