YouTube is a popular Internet site that allows users to share videos. The "YouTube Generation" was named Time magazine's Person of the Year for 2006.[1] In October 2006, Youtube was purchased by Google Inc.
On July 23, 2007, YouTube hosted an interactive debate between the Democratic candidates in the 2008 Presidential Election, in which YouTube users submitted videos of themselves asking questions. A similar debate involving the Republican candidates occurred on November 28. This led to controversy, as they used a question submitted by Keith Kerr, who has ties to Hillary Clinton's campaign.[2]
