Italy was part of the Central Powers alliance until the 1914 London Conference, when it joined the Allies in exchange for Austrian territories such as Dalmatia. So yes, it did change sides. Italy was part of the Central Powers alliance until the 1914 London Conference, when it joined the Allies in exchange for Austrian territories such as Dalmatia. So yes, it did change sides.
