I vote for Ames' version - if you look at the Latin roots of the word "history," it becomes obvious that "history"/"his story" is a linguistic coincidence. -Sevenstring
Thanks for the support! Two other things, though - first advice. To add your sig, use <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>, so you don't have to type your name every time, and you can have a gaudy signature like mine. Second, my first name is "Ames" last name begins "G," but your mistake is very understandable. Many people are confused by my name. Sigh... -'''<font color="#007FFF">Ames</font><font color="#FF0000">G</font>'''[http://www.conservapedia.com/User_talk:AmesG yo!] 01:07, 28 March 2007 (EDT)
That "His Story" idea is pretty funny - but entirely wrong, I'm afraid. ''History'' is originally from Greek ''historein'', which as I recall means to investigate or inquire. Anyway, I've taken the liberty of adding some more stuff here. It's just what I could think of at the moment, so it's pretty rough, but maybe a starting point for further additions down the line.
