Max Bill (1908-1994) was a Swiss abstract painter. He was member of the Bauhaus like Moholy-Nagy, Marcel Breuer, Herbert Bayer and Joseph Albers. It is considered that his work remained "pure" in abstract ideology or abstractionism.
Max Bill, a member of the Swiss 'Zurich Concrete' group, was an architect, painter, sculptor, politician, educationalist, writer, in short, a 'universal creator'. [1]
