Article needs expansion

While I understand that the project is desirous of a family-friendly encyclopedia, this article is patently ridiculous. And locked. Please add something benign, perhaps along the lines of:

Sexual intercourse is the mechanism by which human beings mate and produce offspring. The Penis enters the Vagina, the male's sperm fertilises the female's egg, and the child forms in the womb.

There can hardly be the slightest objection to something as simple as that, a matter-of-fact description for children of how we all came to be. EngelUmpocker 16:55, 2 May 2008 (EDT)

I anticipate plenty of objection. For a start, tell a child or young teenager how, and they might want to try it. It also means we have to make articles on mate, penis and virgina, tripling the contriversy. Here's an idea: Disappear the lot. Delete the page, prevent it ever being created again. Do the same for everything that deals with human sexuality. It's just easier than spending years bickering over what we can say, and we are very unlikely to reach any agreement. - NewCrusader

That's not really a relevant response. Children learn about the nuclear fission reaction in science class, but they don't have to build a bomb for homework. Again, I do understand you want all entries to be family-friendly, but surely question #1 in any youth's mind is "Where did I come from?" It's the first 'big' question every child has, and all arrive at it some time. Education behooves every encyclopedia to say something about sexual reproduction of human beings. It's not 'dirty', it's not 'wrong', it's simply nature and how we all came to be here. To ignore it is Victorian, and we know where that led. EngelUmpocker 14:39, 23 May 2008 (EDT)

One final thought on this. I would encourage you to take the view that if you don't offer your readership some kind of answer to 'The Big Question', they will go off-site and Lord knows there's no way you would want them typing 'sexual intercourse' into their browser to Google the info, is there? You can easily imagine where they would end up. Why not offer them correct and 'Conservapedia-appropriate' information that you are comfortable with instead of driving them away to find out about it at more salacious sources? If you provide the information, you control how that is presented. Not providing the information is simply encouraging searches at less 'trustable' sources. EngelUmpocker 15:25, 23 May 2008 (EDT)

I suggest the above for the content of this article. I have removed the references to the body parts, in the interest of getting anything better than what is currently in this article.
