A spinoff article, seen as a subordinate part of a main article, treats an aspect which needs further explanation for the reader to understand the main article.
Wikipedia tends to resist spinoffs when their liberal contributors seek to maintain bias in articles. Since as everyone knows Wikipedia is only edited by liberals since liberals are the only ones who know how to use the Internet. One way to resist a spinoff is to label it a "POV fork".
