William Oliver Stone, born September 15, 1946, is a famous American director and screenwriter. He has written and directed many controversial films, including JFK (1991),[1] which hypothesized a number of controversies surrounding the assassination of John F. Kennedy, and Alexander,[2] based loosely on the life of Alexander the Great. He also wrote the screenplay for the movie version of the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical Evita (directed by Alan Parker).[3] In 2008, he directed "W.",[4] ostensibly a biopic of President George W. Bush, which focused solely on the negative aspects of his life, in effect smearing a sitting president.
