Eric J.J. Massa (born September 16, 1959 in Charleston, South Carolina) is the U.S. Representative from New York's 29th congressional district and a member of the Democratic Party. After serving one-term, he has announced he will resign amid allegations that he sexually harassed a male staffer. Additionally, Massa caused controversy in August 2009 when he said on health care, "I will vote adamantly against the interests of my district if I actually think what I am doing is going to be helpful." [1]
Currently, he serves on the Agriculture Committee, Armed Services Committee, and Homeland Security Committee.
