Steven Spielberg (born 1946) is an award-winning American film director of Jewish descent. His most famous films include E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, and Saving Private Ryan.
He has won three Academy Awards for Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan and has been nominated for another nine.
