John W. Huffman is a chemistry professor who has invented a number of cannabinoids bearing the JWH designation. He has repeatedly spoken out on the foolishness of ingesting these compounds for recreational purposes. Huffman, whose research is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, is seeking to develop compounds that will have medicinal purposes. Some of the substances he has developed are several times more potent than tetrahydrocannabinol.
