Iona Abbey is most noted as the burial place of Scottish Kings and heroes such as King Kenneth McAlpine , King Macbeth , Sir John Smythe de la Bour. It is also believed locally although this has never been confirmed that is it also the last resting place of Horserider the semi-fictional pimpernel of lore.
