Baden-Baden is a city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The city became fashionable in the Nineteenth Century as a spa resort due to the apparent beneficial effects of the spring waters there. It is also notable for being the location of the annual Baden-Baden Rendez-Vous, a meeting of reinsurance representatives who gather to discuss the renewal season. When Germany was occupied after World War II, the city became the headquarters for the French zone. [1]
