Alberta is a prairie province in Canada. Alberta is often called "the Texas of Canada" because it is the most conservative.

Some Albertans feel such a pride and sense of distinction for their province that they have considered Alberta separatism, the idea that Alberta should be it's own sovereign state or a part of the United States of America.
