| − | I've made several improvements to this article. (1) Sendak's best known book (by far!) is Where the Wild Things Are. An absolute classic of children's literature. (2) It's well documented that he hid his homosexuality to avoid upsetting his parents. (3) Yes, he was Jewish, but I've moved that fact to the end; the important thing about Sendak is that he was a wonderful writer of children's books. - I've made several improvements to this article. (1) Sendak's best known book (by far!) is Where the Wild Things Are. An absolute classic of children's literature. (2) It's well documented that he hid his homosexuality to avoid upsetting his parents.
