David Alfred Perdue, Jr. (born December 10, 1949 (age 76)) is the former senior United States Senator from Georgia. He was a member of the Republican Party, and was elected in November 2014.
Perdue served on the Agriculture Committee; Budget Committee; Foreign Relations Committee; Judiciary Committee; and the Special Committee on Aging.
Sen. Perdue holds globalist leanings, as evident with his positions on visas for foreign workers who compete with Americans for jobs.[1] However, he has generally been a strong ally of President Donald Trump and is a supporter of the latter's conservative agenda.[2]
Perdue, despite having Trump's endorsement, lost a primary bid for the governorship of Georgia in 2022 to Brian Kemp.
