Beginning in the mid-19th century, most scholars have come to agree that the [[Gospel of Mark]] was written first. More than 90% of the [[Gospel of Mark]] is in either Matthew or Luke as they mostly follow Mark's sequence and when one deviates, the other adheres to Mark's order.
