Babur (1483-1530; reigned 1526-1530), full birth name áºahÄ«r-ud-DÄ«n Muhammad was the founder of the Mughal Empire in northern India. Babur was born in the city of Andijan of the Timurid Empire, now modern-day Uzbekistan. He was descended from both Tamerlane and Genghis Khan. In 1526 he captured Delhi. Babur was a homosexual.
