SimCity is a family friendly video game and video game series (ESRB ratings: E) that has turned out to be extremely popular in the world of gaming. It is made by Maxis, the same company that made the series "The Sims". The games are city simulators where one plays the role of the mayor responsible for the growth of the city, and direct the construction of public buildings, set residential, industrial and commercial zones, set taxes, etc.
The series has also spawned various "Sim" simulator games:
