David D. Freudenthal (born in Thermopolis, Wyoming in 1950) is the current and thirty-first governor of the state of Wyoming. Freudenthal is a Democrat. Before becoming governor, he was U.S. attorney for Wyoming for eight years. Previous to then, he worked at a private law practice in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He earned his law degree from the University of Wyoming in 1980.[1]
