Jack Lemmon (February 8, 1925 - June 27, 2001) is an American actor best known for his roles in comedies such as Some Like It Hot, The Out-of-Towners, and Save the Tiger. Although he had other partners — Tony Curtis in Some Like It Hot, Jane Fonda in The China Syndrome — he was recurringly cast opposite Walter Matthau in a long series of movie comedies, starting with The Odd Couple (1968) and continuing for 11 years.[1]
Jack Lemmon's career spanned 5 decades from the late 1940s until his final movie, "The Legend of Bagger Vance" which was completed in 2000, one year before his death. He was always a popular actor and never lost his appeal.
