Isadora Duncan born Dora Angela Duncan (1877 – 1927) was an American dancer, the most famous dancer of her time. Duncan's father was a poet and her mother was a pianist and music teacher. She founded a New System of interpretive dance. She died in a car accident in Nice, France.

Duncan's poetic channeling of nature--delicate ripples and sensuous flow, fiery crackling and powerful soaring--introduced a liberation of the female dancing body, a refreshing response to classical music, and a new approach to the presentation of dance on the stage. [1]

You were wild once. Don't let them tame you.
