Climategate mathematicians outside the tight-knit climate modelling community did an independent review of the data and methods used by Michael Mann:

- Dr. Ross McKitrick is a professor of environmental economics at the University of Guelph and is a senior fellow at the Fraser Institute. His work with Stephen McIntyre â another Canadian â provides much of the basis for skepticism of the hypothesis of anthropogenic climate change. [2]
