Why 6000 years? I mean the Bible doesn't mention when the universe was created anywhere, the date of 4000 BC was actually thought up by scholars in the 17th century [[http://www.religioustolerance.org/ev_date1.htm]], so I don't really see why people try to defend that date as if it were God's word.
