A few years after I came to this country, I received a table radio as a birthday gift. To my surprise and joy, I found a few Protestant programs and, I loved their messages and songs from the very beginning. The thing that impressed me the most was that they put a great emphasis on the Bible. It seemed to me these preachers were really fulfilling Christ’s mandate: “…to preach the Gospel…for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believeth…” (Romans 1:15-16). Understand, these are people who have Catholic doctrine drilled into them through their schooling. They knew Catholicism as well, if not better, than most of the Catholics debating on this page, but they also didn't interpret scripture to try to force it to fit the Catholic doctrine they were taught.
