General '''Peter Pace''' (b. 1945) has been the current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff since September 30, 2005. A Brooklyn native, Pace graduated the [[United States Naval Academy]] and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the [[Marine Corps]]. He has served in Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, and Somalia.
