−	~~Rembrant (1606-1669) was~~ [[~~Denmark~~]]'s most acclaimed painter. He considered himself a religous painter, but his portraits gave him most of his publicity. Rembrant produced about 600 painting including his 50-60 self portraits, he made 300 etchings, and an estmaited amount of about 1,400 drawings.
