Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. (born October 20, 1971), better known as Snoop Dogg (formerly Snoop Doggy Dogg),and more recently Snoop Lion (adopted after his conversion to Rastafarianism), is an American rapper. He is a Gangsta rap pioneer, working with Dr. Dre to popularize the genre in the early 1990's.
Illegal Activities
Snoop Dogg was arrested on Aug. 25, 1993 in connection with the murder of Philip Woldemariam. Snoop Dogg claimed his bodyguard had shot Woldemariam in self-defence. Both Snoop Dogg and his bodyguard were acquitted.
Snoop Dogg is quite open about his drug use, especially about his use of marijuana. He is a libertarian[1] and an advocate of marijuana use.[2] But he also supports gun control.[3]
