Nicolas Sarkozy (born in 1955) is a French conservative politician. He is the president of the "Union pour un Mouvement Populaire", France's main conservative party, and one of the main candidates for the presidential elections of 2007. Up until March 26th, 2007, he was also the Interior Minister. Sarkozy is considered to be more pro-American than most French politicians.[Citation Needed].
