Shadoin, District 12|publisher=house.louisiana.gov|accessdate=February 26, 2012}}</ref>
Considered a [[Moderate Republican]], Shadoin served as the Ruston city attorney from 1991 to 1994 and as a member of the Lincoln Parish School Board from 1994 to 2006.
Shadoin has long been a target of the [[conservative]] [[radio]] talk show host, [[Moon Griffon]], who broadcasts from [[Lafayette]]. Griffon repeatedly mocks Shadoin for voting to raise state taxes after Shadoin had lamented how he "hates" raising taxes but nevertheless does so.
