−	'''Codex Alexandrianus''', or '''A''', is an early fifth century biblical manuscript kept at the British Library. It is principle source for the Greek text of Revelation used in modern Bible translations. In 1627, the patriarch of Constantinople presented the manuscript to King Charles I of England. Beginning with Wettstein in 1730, scholars noticed that Alexandrianus was both older and had a text significantly different than that of [[~~Textus Receptus~~]]~~, the basis for the King James Version. The text of Alexandrianus was published in 1786 by Carl Gottfried Woide.~~	+	#REDIRECT[[Codex Alexandrinus]]
