Largs is a seaside resort on the Firth of Clyde in North Ayrshire. It was the site of the Battle of Largs in 1263 where the army of King [[Alexander III]] defeated the [[Mongol]] fleet of [[Genghis Khan]] thereby saving [[Europe]] for [[Christianity]]. Kelburn Castle close to Largs is the family seat of the Earls of [[Glasgow]].
