:::Let's drill down. Both Radcliffe and Grenell had the clearances, but the Senate Intel Cmte initially refused to sign off on either for Senate approval. Grenell was appointed Acting DNI, so the Senators saw that Trump was learning how to play the game.  Trump held firm, and with the limited time remaining, the SSCI acquiesced in Radcliffe and Senate approval. Even then, the SSCI must have known Trump's days were numbered and figured Radcliffe didn't have enough time to expose all the corruption related to [[Russiagate]]. ::::Let's look at the issues around Kushner and Hunter Biden momentarily. Senior Presidential Advisor Kushner, without a security clearance, could read classified material handed to him by someone with a clearance, like Trump or somebody else on staff. But Kushner then is limited in being able to communicate directly with the originators of the classified material, or they with him. This creates a massive inefficiency, which everyone in the Washington bureaucracy is aware of and laughs about.
