Post-abortive refers to the physical and/or emotional trauma caused to a woman by having an abortion, and also to the father of the unborn child. It can also be called "post-abortion syndrome" (PAS), "post-abortal", or "post-traumatic stress disorder" (PTSD).

Pro-life advocacy, Bible reading, and church attendance are very effective in overcoming this trauma. Liberal denial does not help deal with the underlying emotional, psychological, and/or intellectual harm that results from abortion.

The United States, particularly the Democrat Party, has a relatively large number of people who are post-abortive. Entire communities or college campuses can be post-abortive and suffering from it, such as Washington, D.C. People who facilitate abortion, such as workers in abortion clinics or pharmacy stores that sell chemical abortion drugs, can also suffer from post-abortive syndrome.

Unfortunately, reactions by some post-abortive persons can be so unreasonable when discussing abortion that it becomes impossible to have a productive conversation about it.
