Albert Gore was the Vice President of the United States (1993-2001). He also ran for the Presidency in 2000, losing narrowly to George W. Bush, despite winning the popular vote. He now is famous for giving lectures promoting a response at the civic and governmental levels to global warming. Some of these lectures were turned into the documentary [[An Inconvenient Truth]]. He apparently will not be running for President in 2008. He owns two cats.
