Immanent theism is very similar to certain other theological beliefs. The concept of [[Panentheism]], coined in the 1830s and suggests that God is both immanent and transcendent by virtue of having made the world from part of Himself. [[Pandeism]], introduced in the 1850s suggests that God is immanent in the world by virtue of having made the world from all of Himself (leaving nothing but the Universe, as in [[Pantheism]]).
